WWE legend Mick Foley’s former tag-team partner and ex-ECW world champion Terry Funk has made a stunning return to the ring – AGED 73.
The veteran recruited millions of fans around the globe for his hardcore antics in his over five-decade long career.
And the Funkster, who captured the WWE tag belts with Foley at WrestleMania XIV, could not resist lacing on the boots once again despite having a knee replacement and undergoing inguinal hernia surgery last year.
Funk climbed back inside the squared-circle last weekend for Big Time Wrestling in Raleigh, North Carolina on Friday before another match the next night in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
The grappler wrestled in a six-man tag match as he teamed with the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express against WWE hall of famer Jerry “The King” Lawler, Brian Christopher and Doug Gilbert.
And he says he could not have felt happier being back inside the ropes.
Speaking to SI.com, Funk said:“I felt very old, naturally, walking into that ring.
“But how did I feel inside the ring? I felt elated. That’s where I belong.

Funk’s former boss Vince McMahon, the 72-year-old owner of WWE, also recently made an in-ring comeback as he was brutally assaulted by Kevin Owens on last week’s SmackDown.
But the man who performed alongside Foley under the name of “Chainsaw Charlie” insists he felt no pressure to outperform the king of the wrestling world.
And he says that despite McMahon’s power, he does not rule the business.
Funk blasted: “I couldn’t give a damn what Vince does, I’m focused on the fans.
“Wrestling is all about the power of the individual. Who dictates the business? It’s not Vince, and it never has been. It’s not any of the other promoters, it’s not the independents. It’s the fans that dictate what wrestling is. That’s the one constant from 1917 to 2017.”

“Come to think of it, next weekend, I’m going to have my real, real, real, real, real, real retirement.”
While Funk continues to be go from strength-to-strength, another former WWE star has become embroiled in controversy.
