A WOMAN posted disturbing videos to Facebook showing her mouth gagged with underwear, hands tied and crying hysterically in a bizarre alleged fake kidnapping stunt.

Terrified friends of Thelma Williams, 38, thought she was genuinely kidnapped and called cops when they saw the clips on social media.

Videos and images were posted publicly to her wall along with threatening messages stating she was being held against her own will in the basement.

“She said a person named Tony jumped her from behind, ripped her clothes, gagged her, and tied her to a pole in the basement and then took videos and photos of her he posted online,” said Sheriff Richard Jones.

Her muffled cries could be heard in 999 calls during which she reportedly claimed someone had slashed her throat.

Police rushed to her home in Butler County, Ohio, where they found her bound, with her clothes behind her back and clothes ripped.

But it soon became apparent that she had “fabricated the attack to get attention”, said Sheriff Jones at a press conference yesterday.

Sheriff Jones said it looked like she was “posing for the tape” and he said she confessed when interviewed.

The officer described it as “one of the most bizarre cases we’ve had in quite some time”.

Williams has been charged with making false alarms which is a Class 5 felony that carries a maximum 10-year term, reported Fox 19.

“I hope she gets a lot of time in jail,” Jones said.

“There are so many real victims out there and this is the lowest kind of low to them.

“I can’t figure it out for the life of me.”

In an earlier Facebook post on September 16 she wrote about grieving the loss of her brother who died on the same day last year.
