COLD Feet has returned to ITV along with its original cast.
But which actors have grabbed the key parts in the new seventh series and what else have they been in? Here are all the details…
Award-winning Northern Irish actor James Nesbitt, 52, plays Adam Williams in the comedy-drama.
Adam is a lonely womaniser, permanently damaged in series five when his wife Rachel dies in a car crash.
When seducing Rachel, Adam placed a rose between his bum cheeks which became one of the drama’s best-known scenes.
He also was diagnosed with testicular cancer, before he and Rachel had a son called Matthew – despite the mum thinking she was infertile.
At the end of the last series, widower Adam got together with his former landlady Tina.
Since Cold Feet propelled him into the spotlight, James has enjoyed a hugely varied career in TV and film.
He played Bofur in the recent Hobbit movies, as well as appearing in Woody Allen’s Match Point and Danny Boyle’s Millions.
He also played Jekyll & Mr Hyde in a memorable modern-day BBC series, Jekyll, with Michelle Ryan.
Actress Hermione, 50, originally auditioned for another role but was cast as posh Karen Marsden because of her social class.
It was her break-out part but she’s since had a very successful career through shows like Wire In The Blood, Spooks, Kingdom and In The Club.
The character of Karen is strong-willed and wore the trousers in her marriage with David, until it collapsed due to their mutual infidelity.
Veteran comic and actor John, 48, plays Pete Gifford – husband of Jenny who ruined his marriage with an affair, before reuniting with his former wife in the last series.
Before Cold Feet, John was already well-known for his work in The Fast Show, 24 Hour Party People and Men Behaving Badly.
His role as taxi driver Pete saw him nominated for Best TV Comedy Actor in 2001 at the British Comedy Awards.
Since Cold Feet’s original run John has appeared in Casualty, Waterloo Road and After Hours, plus the movie Grimsby.
Fay Ripley – the 51-year-old star of Suspects and Reggie Perrin – plays Pete’s wife Jenny in the show.
The actress is a native Londoner but does a Mancunian accent as fun-loving Jenny.
Among the many soapy plot lines Jenny has been through is a crush on friend Adam, being seduced by a millionaire, divorcing Pete then reuniting with him and supporting him through depression.
Karen’s husband – and eventually ex-husband – David Marsden is played by Robert Bathurst.
You may know the 60-year-old actor from other recent roles in Downton Abbey, Toast Of London or Mrs Brown’s Boys D’Movie.
His character is a high-flying management consultant who has an affair – before Karen has one of her own and triggers the end of their marriage.
In the most recent series he was imprisoned on false fraud charges before announcing he wanted to get back together with Karen.
