Who is Taliah Dalorto?

Taliah Dalorto is a 19-year-old secretary from Essex.

She impressed the judges with her take on Aretha Franklin’s Ain’t No Way – and Simon Cowell even said that she was what he had been “looking for”.

Before her audition, the Canary Wharf worker said: “I think there’s a gap in the market for me, I’m different.

“I’m different to what people have probably got.”

She received four yeses but was also given some constructive feedback on her rendition.

Sharon told her: “I think your performance was a much older woman, I think you can lighten up on the way you present your song.”

Following her audition Simon said: “Sometimes I question why we’re in these small rooms, but that told me why it’s right to do it this way.

“It’s just you, us, your voice. I thought that was amazing.”

Louis added: “I didn’t think it was going to be anywhere as good as this. We need more artists like you.”

When is The X Factor 2017 on ITV and who are the judges?

After launching on September 2, X Factor 2017 will continue every Saturday and Sunday on ITV.

The show begins, as always, with auditions as the nationwide hunt to find this year’s winning act begins.

Despite heavy speculation of a judging shake up, the panel will be remaining exactly the same as last year.

This means Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne will hold the hopefuls’ fates in their hands.

Alisha Dixon is also appearing for certain audition shows, having stepped in as a guest judge when Sharon and Nicole were unable to attend.

It’s the first time in seven years that X Factor bosses have kept the same judging panel as the year before.

A source said: “The chemistry was perfect last year, so it’s only natural to want to bring the same line-up together again.”

Dermot O’Leary will be returning to hosting duties after making his big comeback to the show last year.
