Among the batch is former soldier Sophie Faldo, who is trying to bake her way into viewer’s hearts. But what else do we know about her?
Who is Sophie Faldo and what does she do?
Sophie, 33, from Surrey, is a former army officer who is now training to be a stuntwoman.
She lives with her boyfriend David, who is said to have entered her into the competition, and cat, Loki, and didn’t discover her love for baking until after offering to make a cake for a friend.
The psychology graduate, who gained a Masters degree at the University of Toulouse, has since developed a passion for patisserie and is hoping to wow the guests.
