THE APPRENTICE is back for another year and it’s brought with it another batch of delightfully obnoxious candidates.
Among the latest intake of 18 ambitious businessmen and women is Siobhan Smith. Here’s all we know about Lord Sugar’s new candidate…
Who is Siobhan Smith and what’s her background?
Siobhan Smith is a 34-year-old business owner from London.
Currently, Siobhan owns and runs a wedding service company for couples in the UK who want to get married in Dubai.
She considers herself to be very direct, but concedes people sometimes take her honesty the wrong way.
Her role model is Colonel Sanders, founder of KFC – as “at the age of 65, he had knocked on over 1,000 doors over a period of two years trying to sell his recipe before getting his first yes, he never gave up on his dream.”
She says: “I fly aeroplanes, scuba dive, jump off cliffs, paraglide; I’m a blogger and a mother – as well as running my wedding planning business. A lot of people call me superwoman.”
What is The Apprentice and when is on BBC One?
The Apprentice is a hit BBC reality show, now about to enter its thirteenth series, featuring hour-long episodes.
Each series of the programme aims to find a new apprentice for billionaire business mogul and Amstrad founder Lord Alan Sugar, who’s worth £1.4bn.
The show began in 2005 and has a US equivalent that kicked off in 2004, with Donald Trump in Lord Alan’s equivalent role.
There are celebrity and junior versions of the UK show, too.
After returning on October 4, The Apprentice is on every Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One.
