Who is Grace Davies?

Grace Davies is a singer-songwriter and warehouse assistant appearing on this year’s series of The X Factor.

The 20-year-old hails from the Lancashire village of Langho, near Blackburn, and first realised her musical talent playing Nancy in a primary school production of Oliver!

She has been writing her own material for several years, her website describing her style as having a “quirky individuality, which perfectly reflects her down-to-earth personality”.

The talented Northerner counts the likes of Ed Sheeran, Emeli Sande and Mumford & Sons among her songwriting influences.

In the summer of 2015, she independently released her debut EP My Kingdom, and she’s featured as a ‘BBC Introducing’ artist, as well as featuring on 6 Music and Radio One.

She now shares management with X Factor 2011 star Janet Devlin, and Grace revealed that the pair had moved into a house together in London earlier this year.

A regular live performer, Grace even appeared alongside Olly Murs following a supporting slot with the former X Factor finalist last year.

Recording covers of classics from Bob Dylan and David Bowie, as well as more contemporary artists like Tove Lo, has also built Grace a significant following online.

She boasts over 11,000 followers on the streaming website SoundCloud, and her cover of the Adele hit ‘Hello’ went viral last year – astonishingly amassing over 50 MILLION plays.

When is The X Factor 2017 on ITV and who are the judges?

After launching on September 2, X Factor 2017 will continue at 8pm every Saturday and Sunday on ITV.

The show begins, as always, with auditions as the nationwide hunt to find this year’s winning act begins.

Despite heavy speculation of a judging shake up, the panel will be remaining exactly the same as last year.

This means Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne will hold the hopefuls’ fates in their hands.

Alisha Dixon is also appearing in the auditions, having stepped in as a guest judge when Sharon and Nicole were unable to attend.

It’s the first time in seven years that X Factor bosses have kept the same judging panel as the year before.

A source said: “The chemistry was perfect last year, so it’s only natural to want to bring the same line-up together again.”

Dermot O’Leary will be returning to hosting duties after making his big comeback to the show last year.
