WITH panel show appearances galore and some impressive prestigious presenting gigs under his belt, Chris Ramsey is one of comedy’s rising stars.
The chances are you’ll recognise the cheeky stand-up from I’m A Celebrity spin-off show Extra Camp, but he’s done a whole lot more – here’s all you need to know:
Who is Chris Ramsey?
Funny man Chris is originally from South Shields.
He first made his way into the public eye in 2010 when he put on his first solo stand-up show Aggrophobic.
The show was so successful that he took it on the road for a sell-out tour in 2012.
How did Chris Ramsey get famous and what’s he been in?
Off the back of his new found success Chris began to star in a number of comedy panel shows including Mock The Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Celebrity Juice.
The funnyman’s third stand-up tour, All Growed Up, went on the road between 2015 and 2016.
His success earned Chris the biggest gig of his career to date – hosting the I’m A Celebrity spin-off Extra Camp alongside the likes of Vicky Pattison, Joe Swash and Stacey Solomon.
Chris’s quick wit and cutting humour helped bring added comic relief after he arrived for the 2016 series.
The 30-year-old took over as presenter of panel show Virtually Famous in December 2016, and has even had the chance to front his own show.
Starting on Comedy Central in January this year, The Chris Ramsey Show featured the comic and guests looking at news stories which are sent to Chris on social media.
He is also due to take over as host of the channel’s stand-up comedy showcase Stand Up Central, replacing Russell Howard for the third series from this autumn.
In August he starred in a one-off special ITV show called Possibly the Best Adverts in the World.
