CHLOE Hewitt is one of the newest members of the professional dancing family on Strictly Come Dancing 2017.
Here’s what we know about the former BGT semi-finalist who’s now lighting up the BBC dancefloor…
Who is Chloe Hewitt, how old is she and what is her background?
Chloe Hewitt is a 22-year-old professional dancer.
She was born in Chester and got into dancing at the tender age of seven.
The youngster then began her dancing career at Pritchard’s Dance Academy – the school which fellow Strictly newbie AJ Pritchard’s parents run.
After being paired with him by AJ’s mum and dad, they trained for a few years as a pair.
Then they went on Britain’s Got Talent in 2013 and got through to the semi-finals, before the series was won by shadow theatre troupe Attraction.
In 2015 AJ and Chloe won the British Open Youth Latin Champions, that same year they also became European Youth Latin Champions.
Over their nine-year competitive career they have set records by becoming the National Youth Latin Champions for three years in a row from 2012 to 2014.
When did Chloe join Strictly?
Chloe and AJ both joined Strictly’s gang of pro dancers in 2016.
However, Chloe – like Neil Jones – did not take part in the contestn, although AJ got partnered with gymnast Chloe Frangapane.
On joining Strictly Chloe said, “My childhood dream of being on Strictly Come Dancing is now reality!
“The sheer excitement is exhilarating and I cannot wait to be part of the Strictly family.”
It remains to be seen if she’ll get a celeb partner in 2017, but she danced with Gethin Jones in the 2016 festive special.
