BRENDAN Cole is continuing his time as a Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer in the new 2017 series.
Will this year be his year for the Glitterball trophy? Maybe. Here’s the low-down on him anyway…
Who is Brendan Cole, how old is he and what is his background?
Brendan Cole is a 41-year-old ballroom dancer originally from Christchurch, New Zealand.
Brendan starting dancing at the age of six and went on to become a professional dancer after leaving school at the age of seventeen.
Like fellow professional Anton du Beke, Brendan has appeared in the Strictly Come Dancing series since it began fifteen years ago.
His previous celebrity dance partners include Kirsty Gallacher, Jo Wood, Kelly Brook and Lulu.
Strictly isn’t the dancer’s only taste of television, as he previously appeared on Celebrity Love Island where he became runner-up.
He has also appeared on Britain’s Next Top Model and BBC’s Just The Two Of Us.
Brendan was paired with singer Anastacia for last year’s Strictly series, but the pair crashed out in week six amid claims they weren’t getting on.
The year before that he was with sports presenter Kirsty Gallacher and they also left in week six.
Over the years, Brendan has made headlines for his clashes with head judge Len Goodman, as well as bullying claims when he branded GMTV host Fiona Phillips the worst partner he had ever had.
Despite that, he was tipped as one of the people taking over as head judge when Goodman retired, though that job has now been given to Shirley Ballas.
Brendan has been married to gorgeous wife Zoe since 2010
Is Brendan Cole single?
Brendan has a four-year-old daughter, Aurelia, with his wife Zoe Hobbs.

But Brendan is thought to be the pro dancer who kicked off the “Strictly Curse” after his rumoured affair with newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky in series one.

There are three new pros joining the Strictly ranks for the 2017 series.
They will part of the team which sees returning dancers:
