Who is Berget Lewis?

Berget Lewis is a 45-year-old singer from The Netherlands.

Berget began singing in church when she was aged 11 and despite being quite a shy person she decided then that music would be her life.

In her 20s she was a backing vocalist for a variety of singers back in Holland and elsewhere and was happy being ‘behind the artist’.

With a soulful voice and penchant for soul music, Berget is hoping that her considerable talents can help her on The X Factor.

Looking to leave the Netherlands behind and build a career in the UK, she’s hoping to change her life for the better.

Berget already has lots of backers in The Netherlands hoping to see her do well.

When is The X Factor 2017 on ITV and who are the judges?

After launching on September 2, X Factor 2017 will continue at every Saturday and Sunday on ITV.

The show begins, as always, with auditions as the nationwide hunt to find this year’s winning act begins.

Despite heavy speculation of a judging shake up, the panel has remained exactly the same as last year.

This means Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne hold the hopefuls’ fates in their hands.

Alisha Dixon has also been appearing in the auditions, having stepped in as a guest judge when Sharon and Nicole were unable to attend.

It’s the first time in seven years that X Factor bosses have kept the same judging panel as the year before.

A source said: “The chemistry was perfect last year, so it’s only natural to want to bring the same line-up together again.”

Dermot O’Leary will be returning to hosting duties after making his big comeback to the show last year.
