Where is Liar filmed?
Liar was filmed around London, Kent and Essex and follows teacher Laura as she goes on a date with surgeon Andrew that changes both their lives forever.
The initial scene of the first episode, where lead character Laura is canoeing through stunning marshland, can be found in Tollesbury in Essex.
Viewers living in Deal on the south-east coast may recognise some of the scenery as plenty of filming was done in this area.
Jasin’s restaurant on Deal Pier was closed for several days earlier in the year while filming took place inside.
And another local restaurant Deal Beach Parlour was also used for filming.
As for the characters’ homes, the producers selected houses from the Kent area simply by knocking on people’s doors in the hope of finding the ideal location.
One Kingsdown home was redecorated by the set designers to look like a family home with young children.
The house – on Wellington Parade – will feature in the series, which airs tonight.
What is Liar and when is it on ITV?
Liar started on Monday, September 11 at 9pm on ITV and is shown at the same time for six weeks.
Liar’s cast boasts Downton Abbey’s Joanne Froggatt and Welsh Fantastic Four actor Ioan Gruffudd.
Written by Bafta-winning Harry and Jack Williams, it began filming in 2016.
A trailer for the show aired on the channel in July 2017.
The tag line for the show is a quote by Aesop, which reads: “Every truth has two sides; it is as well to look at both, before we commit to either.”
