JAMIE Oliver recently returned to our screens – with The Naked Chef fronting a brand new show on Channel 4 about cooking on a tight schedule.

When does Jamie’s Quick & Easy Food start on Channel 4?

Jamie’s Quick & Easy Food continues tonight (October 2) on Channel 4 at 8pm with the sixth episode in the series, which will have eight in total.

They will be shown at the same time every week with Superfoods: The Real Story following just after at 8.30pm.

Each episode will be short and sweet at just half an hour.

The chef says that each of these new recipes only require five main ingredients.

The cook has said of the show: “Sometimes the simplest things are the best – I can’t believe it’s taken me 20 years to work out that just focusing on five ingredients, killer combinations and technique can give you some of the most exciting cooking ever.”

What happens in the show and what will Jamie be cooking?

Throughout the series viewers will be shown how to make sesame seared tuna, scallops with black pudding and chicken pot pie.

Other recipes include a messy meatball bun, chocolate rye cookies, rib-eye steak, egg and mango chutney flatbreads and almond pastry puffs.

This is the latest in Jamie’s many half-hour Channel 4 series, with the last one – Jamie’s Everyday Super Food – airing in 2016.

Kicking off his TV hosting career with The Naked Chef in 1999, Jamie has hosted a huge range of shows, including a reality TV series where he found his next protege called Jamie’s Kitchen in 2002.

Other shows he’s presenter include Jamie’s School Dinners in 2005, Jamie’s Ministry Of Food, Jamie’s American Road Trip and Jamie’s 30-Minute Meals.
