MICHELLE Keegan has reprised her role as Georgie Lane for the third series of the hit BBC show Our Girl.
Here’s everything you need to know about the hit show, including who’s in the cast and when to tune in…
When will the new series of Our Girl air?
The third series of Our Girl begins TONIGHT, Tuesday 10 October at 9pm on BBC One.
It will consist of 12 episodes which will be split into three blocks of four episodes.
Episode one goes head-to-head with Russia 1917: Countdown To Revolution on BBC Two, Cilla on ITV, Celebrity Hunted on Channel 4 and Alaska: A Year In The Wild on Channel 5.
Unfortunately, the past two series are also not available on streaming site, BBC iPlayer, but you can buy it from the BBC store.
The two series are also available on DVD.
What is Our Girl about and what will happen in series three?
Our Girl follows the lives of a leading woman in the British Army – the first series being Lacey Turner’s Molly Dawes, and the second and third series Lance Corporal Georgie Lane, played by Michelle Keegan.
The pair are both female Army medics, with Molly serving in Afghanistan and Georgie serving in Kenya.
In the last series, Georgie was forced to confront her feelings for her ex-boyfriend Elvis (Luke Pasqualino) while her fiance Jamie (Royce Pierreson) waited for her back home.
Tony Grounds, the show’s creator, has promised that the third series will take a turn when it returns to our screen.
Speaking to Radio Times, he revealed that the show will focus on emergency disaster relief as opposed to the brink of war.
He added: “I’m going to be looking where the natural disasters are and where the British Army’s involved.”
It’s also been teased that Lacey Turner could return to the new series, and Tony said that if Lacey wanted to come back “all she had to do was ring him.”
Who is in the Our Girl cast?
Current information on the new series is thin on the ground, with show bosses not letting much go over who will come back and who won’t for the new series.
However, Michelle has confirmed that following her successful stint as Lance Corporal Georgie Lane in series two, she would be returning for another round.
In a statement, Michelle said: “I’m so happy that we’ll be back for another series as I think there’s definitely more stories to tell with Georgie.
“The reaction to the show has been overwhelming and I’m really thankful to everyone who’s watched and supported it.
“It was an amazing experience filming with such an incredible group of people and I can’t wait to do it all over again.”
The 29-year-old actress took over from Lacey Turner, who played the lead character in the first series of Our Girl.
