Michelle Keegan is back as intrepid Army medic Lance Corporal Georgie Lane (right).

We first see her and her fellow soldiers during a mission in Syria, where she clashes with a new recruit, Private Maisie Richards, over her attitude and reckless behaviour.

Fast-forward to Nepal, where 2 Section are helping those affected by an earthquake – and guess who Georgie’s been tasked with mentoring?

The language barrier, aftershocks and horrific injuries are just some of the challenges the team face, but at least Nepalese engineer Milan (Rudi Dharmalingam, left) is on hand to help.

It’s a promising start to the four-part third series, and reminds us that the Army does more than fight in wars.

And expect a dramatic cliffhanger as Georgie looks set to end up a victim of the quake…
