THESE days pressure is heaped on women to stay young and beautiful.
But it seems that some women are going to new extremes to stay youthful – and it’s not just their faces getting the attention. Here’s all you need to know…
More and more women are undergoing surgeries on the quest for a designer vagina.
Self-conscious teens and post-baby mums are opting to have the privates of their dreams with the surgery.
Earlier this year, Holly Willoughby was fascinated by a mum-of-five who revealed she paid £1000 for a vagina face lift on This Morning.
But with the term designer vagina covering a wide range of procedures, how clued up are you when it comes to this latest beauty trend?
What is vaginoplasty and labiaplasty?
Labiaplasty reduces the size of the labia minora – the flaps of skin either side of the vaginal opening.
Vaginoplasty is designed to reduce the size of the actual vagina (as in the vaginal hole) usually to make it tighter.
The procedures can be carried out with either a local or general anaesthetic and can take around two hours, with some patients being able to go home on the same day.
What is a non-surgical vagina facelift?
If you don’t fancy going under the knife there is the option of a non-surgical vagina facelift.
Speaking to Holly Willoughby on This Morning one mum-of-five revealed the treatment had “changed her life”.
And after having the procedure, Lindsay later told the Sun Online: “My confidence came back, my sex drive came back, I just felt great.
“I felt like a virgin again. It just tightened everything up, it neatens it up to how you were before.”
Which celebs have a designer vagina?
There are plenty of celebrities who have undergone the surgery and who are considering the procedure.
Chloe Khan announced that she was headed to Turkey for surgery along with a Brazilian bum lift at the same time.
Sinitta recently announced that she was planning to undergo the procedure and will be broadcasting it live on YouTube as part of a shocking hew documentary series.
Another celebrity who was happy to boast about their sculpted privates was TOWIE’s Gemma Collins.
“I’ve never told you this, but I paid £2,000 and my vagina is perfect now,” she told Bobby Norris on the show.
“It looks like something you see in a movie.”
Brandi Glanville, the stunning Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, also readily admitted that she had opted for the op.
She described in her book how she demanded that her wealthy ex-husband to pay for the remodelling after he left her for LeAnne Rimes.
She said: “I decided that since Eddie ruined my vagina for me, he could pay for a new one.”
Celebrity Big Brother’s Renee Graziano also spoke about her “designer vagina” while in the famous house.
The Mob Wives star shocks her showbiz housemates by admitting she has had a special tightening procedure called a vaginoplasty to spruce up her nether regions.
Two other celebs have recently expressed an interest in sculpting their nether regions.
The procedure is a treatment that improves the health and vitality of vaginal tissue.
It uses plastic balls and high-intensity focused ultrasound that rebuilds the skin’s elastin while tightening at the same time.
Kerry Katona has also recently confessed she has added the treatment to her wishlist following her liposuction and tummy tuck.
In her quest for the perfect body she is hoping to rejuvenate her vagina with the non-surgical option.
Danniella Westbrook also had a designer vagina procedure – and shocked her Snapchat viewers after filming the laser non-surgical treatment.
Farrah Abraham has been boasting about her designer vagina during her new X-rated webcam shows in her sensational return to pornography.
How much do the procedures cost?
Depending on where you go you can pay between £1,000 and £3,000 for the procedure plus the price of any consultations or follow up appointments.
For the non-surgical vagina facelift prices are around £499 per session, with many people opting for more than one visit.
