The beginning of a journey can be one of the most stressful aspects of a holiday, with passengers eager to make their flight on time.
This tension has been heightened in recent months as airlines have tightened their cabin luggage restrictions. Airline’s such as Ryanair have changed their on-board baggage policies.
For one passenger this tension was too much with his bad morning captured on camera.
The footage shows a few passengers fighting after one man reportedly started arguing with flight attendants over the space in an overhead locker.
The footage shows a man violently lashing out at other passengers whilst they are trying to reason with him.
According to Fox News, the man was asked to leave the flight but he refused.
An eye witness reported that a fellow passenger asked him to get off so the flight could depart.
They added the angry passengers then spat on the fellow passenger and the fight broke out.
The footage was filmed by a fellow passenger that witnessed the brawl.
The video caption reads: “The reason we missed our connection”.
Fox went on to report that the two men were separated with the initiator being kicked off the flight.
Southwest Airlines confirmed in a later statement that the flight was delayed due to an “altercation between two passengers”.
The airline went on to add: “The passengers involved were deplaned and local law enforcement took over from there. The safety and comfort of our employees and passengers is our top priority.”
The flight was in total delayed for an hour, to the great annoyance of fellow passengers.
This is not the first time footage captured during a flight has gone viral.
