The little girl is said to have been playing in a local park with pals in the southern city of Beersheba when the shocking incident occurred.

The girl is said to have also suffered burns to her neck.

Her father reportedly went searching for the attackers but was unable to find them.

The incident is just the latest in a string of recent sightings of so-called “killer clowns” across the country.

People dressing up as clowns to scare people is nothing new, after the craze went global last year.

But it seems to be making a comeback at around the same time as the release of horror movie “It”.

The remake of the Stephen King classic about an evil clown called Pennywise hit cinemas last month.

And many are blaming the resurgence of the clown craze on the movie, according to the Times of Israel.

Cops in the Israeli capital Tel Aviv reportedly arrested a pair of teens with clown masks and a hammer who had been scaring people.

Other similar incidents have been reported in Dimona, Ramla and Kiryat Gat – with police now launching a crackdown.
