CHRIS Clark has said a Towie wedding is on the cards – but only when he’s made enough money to propose to Amber Dowding.
While Chris, 23, knows that his future is with his 24-year-old girlfriend, he says they’ve both got a lot more growing up to do before they settle down.
When asked by BANG! about marriage, he said: “When I’ve earned some good money!
“Not anytime soon don’t worry about that. I mean, we’re 23, 24, it will happen, we haven’t even moved out yet.
“I can’t get engaged to her living at home. There’s other steps first.”
Chris also let out his more unromantic thoughts on marriage, revealing it’s more about “spending money.”
He continued: “It’s different for females and males.
“Girls grow up wanting the fairytale wedding, I know this is going to sound negative, but a wedding and engagement is just spending money.
“There’s people out there not married not engaged and they’re stronger.”
However Amber put an end to Chris’s money fears and says it’ll be her dad who forks out.
She explained: “It is going to happen because I definitely want to get married, it’s alright the dad pays for the wedding so you haven’t got to worry it’s my dad who’s got to start saving.
“I think we want it to happen. Actually seeing if we can live with each other before he puts a ring on it. Do you know what it is, you don’t ever know anyone.
“My mum and dad have been married 25 years and still learn things about each other now so what’s the point in rushing it? A ring doesn’t mean anything. If you love someone what’s a ring?”
Chris recently revealed to The Sun Online that he’s put on weight since getting back with Amber as their “happy relationship” has made him stop worrying so much about his appearance.
The pair rekindled their romance in April following eight months apart – shortly after he broke up with Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson, and Chris admits their food loving lifestyle is taking its toll.
He said: “When I say Amber that I’ve put on weight she tells me I haven’t, but I know my own body and that I need to be in the gym.
“I want the body I had earlier this year back, as after you get a girlfriend it’s all takeaways and dinners, it becomes routine and you end up feeling a bit fat.
“I eat dominos, KFC – you name it, we have it. I’m a sucker for carbs.
“But I’m happy, I’m in a great relationship, so I think everyone does it.
“And when you’re happy and in a relationship you stop worrying so much about your physical appearance, I feel like in the past six months have been so good with us being back together.”
