THEY are sexy, they are convinced they are geniuses and, best of all, they are already spouting gloriously bonkers one-liners.
Meet the 18 new Apprentice candidates, one of whom has declared: “Women are like tea bags — you don’t know how strong they are until you put them in hot water.”
Those battling it out for Lord Sugar’s £250,000 investment when the BBC1 series begins next Wednesday include a former speechwriter for David Cameron and a “semi-professional hip-hop dancer”.
And several hopefuls have already proved that they are not all business by flaunting sexy photos online.
One of them, PR boss Jade English, 25, from Manchester, has insisted she is not just a bombshell, boasting: “I am extremely emotionally intelligent.”
Meanwhile, selfie-loving marketing consultant Joanna Jarjue, 23, of Manchester, wrote of her hotness in an online caption of herself: “Some people fear the fire. Some women simply become it.”
Elliot Van Emden, 31, nicknamed “Tory Boy” because he worked for Mr Cameron before he became PM, says he will not hesitate to undermine rivals.
The lawyer, from London, said: “Sometimes to get to the top you have to grease the pole behind you.” And business analyst and hip-hop dancer Jeff Wan, 28, announced: “I bring swagger to the table.”
Birmingham recruitment firm owner James White, 26, who has posted a picture of himself bare-chested, said: “Intimidation is what motivates me. I want to be bigger and more successful than anyone else.”
Other competitors include a fashion publicist, a florist and London confectionery firm owner Sarah Lynn, 35, who compared women to tea bags.
Also battling it out in the show, which kicks off with a burger-selling task, is Bolton construction company owner Michaela Wain, 33, who said: “I have no patience for people who say stupid stuff.”
