The Walking Dead season 8 news: Morgan Jones exit revealed in FIRST LOOK pictures | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Morgan (played by Lennie James) was announced to be crossing from Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead to Fear the Walking Dead.

It has previously been unknown how the logistics of the transition will work, with Lennie, 52, teasing to Express.co.uk no one has guessed yet

Now new pictures have emerged which appear to reveal exactly how he can appear in both shows.

Judging by the costume worn by the Alexandrian hero, viewers will meet Morgan after he has completed his training with Eastman (John Carroll Lynch).

What’s more, the original can be seen wielding his trusty stick complete with a bloodied point, suggesting he has been getting plenty of practice in killing.

When Fear the Walking Dead returns on April 15, the cast will be significantly different to the third season.

In the course of one series, Travis (Cliff Curtis) and Ofelia (Mercedes Mason) bit the dust, leaving a core cast of the Clarks, Strand (Colman Domingo) and Salazar (Ruben Blades).

There will also be a considerable time jump which will surely bring in even more new faces.

With the time jump in mind, could it fast-forward far enough to catch up with Morgan after he has departed from Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the gang?

It could suggest therefore that Morgan doesn’t in fact die on The Walking Dead, and will continue his story in Fear.

Elsewhere in the upcoming season, Morgan will meet Madison (Kim Dickens) at some point and it is likely the pair will form a formidable team.

An official synopsis for season four reads: “We will see the world of Madison Clark and her family through new eyes – the eyes of Morgan Jones, joining the story from the world of The Walking Dead.

“The characters’ immediate past mixes with an uncertain present of struggle and discovery as they meet new friends, foes and threats.

“They fight for each other, against each other and against a legion of the dead to somehow build an existence against the crushing pressure of lives coming apart.

“There will be darkness and light; terror and grace; the heroic, mercenary, and craven, all crashing together towards a new reality for Fear the Walking Dead.”

Fear the Walking Dead season four airs April 15 at 10pm on AMC and will air the following day at FOX UK.
