SAM Smith has been pictured in a romantic embrace with actor Bradon Flynn in New York.
The singer and the 13 Reasons Why star appeared to go public with their budding romance as they put on an amorous display in the American city.
The new couple enjoyed lunch together in the West Village before walking away from the restaurant hand-in-hand.
The pair’s outing comes just weeks after Brandon came out and revealed he identifies as a part of the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) community.
Speaking about the recent same-sex marriage vote in Australia, the actor wrote: “Just saw the “vote no” message in the sky, looming over Sydney. Thank you for raising money and hiring on a plane to write your lack of support amongst the clouds.
“I hope your hate and lack of understanding fades, just like those words will.”
He continued: “Too many of my friends have been kicked out of their homes, kept in the closet, beat up, killed, ridiculed by church and state, institutionalized… and you are scared that if we vote YES, you won’t be able to show your hate for Us.
“F** that. We’ve been scared s***less our whole lives thanks to all the stigmas that surround Us, stigmas that were set in place by the same kind of people who flew that plane over Sydney.”
He continued: “We’ve fought, we’ve come out bravely even in our fear, and you wrote a message in the sky because you’re scared. Equality takes courage, it worries me that too many people in this world lack the balls to stand up for what is right. #f***hate”.
Meanwhile, Sam had hinted he was single just last month as he opened up about the meaning behind his new track Too Good At Goodbyes.
The singer’s last release was his 2015 track The Writing’s On The Wall, which was the first James Bond theme tune to get to the Number One spot on the UK singles chart.
Speaking about his new song on Beats 1, Sam said: “This song is about me and about a relationship that I was in.
“I’m still very, very single.
“I think I’m even more single than I was when I released In the Lonely Hour, so I’m insanely single.
“It’s been a long while since I’ve put any music out and I feel that this first single sets the tone of what is to come.”
“People are going to see, this one as I’ve said is about me and something that I’ve gone through.”
His fans were impressed with his offering and went online to praise the 25-year-old singer.
Liam Payne also lent his support to Sam, tweeting: “Everyone get ready for @samsmithworld record tomorrow…don’t miss it.”
Another of Sam’s fans wrote: “Sam Smith’s new song is amazing! This is gonna be on repeat this weekend.”
A third said: “Sam smith just dropped his new song and the harmonies, lyrics, and just EVERYTHING has me SHOOK.”
Sam’s debut album In The Lonely Hour sold over 12 million copies and saw him collect four Grammys, a Golden Globe, an Academy Award and three BRIT awards.
While Sam – who previously dated Jonathan Zeizel and was linked to TOWIE’s Charlie King – has spent time travelling during his hiatus, he’s now planning out the rest of his comeback, including gigs around the world.
Although he’s not yet confirmed the venues, Sam will kick off his mini-tour in Los Angeles on September 11, before heading to New York two days later.
He’ll then come back to London on September 15 before playing a gig in Berlin on September 18.
