ITV’s new show, 100 Years Younger in 21 Days, essentially put the merry band of famous faces through an intense boot camp.
One particular point shocked viewers, as it showed some chosen few celebrities getting a “coffee enema”.
The uncomfortable scene saw the likes of Shaun Ryder, Roy Walker and Claire King have their bowel contents removed and replaced with coffee.
Roy, 77, explained that he found the treatment akin to a “garden hose”, while Shaun, 55, could be heard making loud, guttural noises throughout.
Narrator, Stephen Fry jokingly explained: “The patients must hold the coffee in for five minutes before they can allow for evacuation.”
The camera then cut to the famous faces straining on the toilet while the contents of their bowels could be heard hitting the bowl.
Viewers were aghast by the frank scene and flocked to Twitter to discuss the bizarre sight.
One wrote: Well watching Roy Walker sitting on a toilet taking a shit was something I was not expecting to see today #saywhatyousee #colonic.”
A second posted: “Did we really need to see them sitting on the loo? Letting it all out?”
A third added: “I cant believe they are actually filming themselves on the toilet!!”
As the procedure was finished, Shaun laughed that it was “quite a revelation” but inly time will tell if the bizarre method actually worked.
Elsewhere on the show, June revealed perhaps a little too much during a yoga session.
While demonstrating how Tibetan Yoga keeps her feeling fit and fabulous at 90, the Dot Cotton star flashed her knickers to the other celebrities.
Clearly having a joke, June repeated the poses multiple times, giggling all the while.
100 Years Younger in 21 Days continues next Tuesday on ITV at 9pm.
