ROSE Leslie gives a clear glimpse of her massive engagement ring as she heads into Heathrow – following the news she and Kit Harington are set to wed.
The 30-year-old Game Of Thrones star, who played Ygritte until 2014, was travelling solo with a huge suitcase and two extra bags – and among the numerous rings on her left hand was the diamond sparkler Kit gave her last month.
With minimal make-up on, the stunning red-haired Scot wore a woolly cardigan to keep warm as she hit the airport with pals, after spending time with Jon Snow’s alter-ego Kit in London.
After playing lovers on Game Of Thrones and dating since 2012, the pair announced their engagement in The Times newspaper two weeks ago.
Rose, who also stars in The Good Fight, has not spoken about her romance with 30-year-old Kit, but he admitted earlier this year: “If you’re already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it becomes very easy to fall in love.”
The formal announcement they placed in The Times read: “Mr K.C. Harington and Miss R.E. Leslie.
“The engagement is announced between Kit, younger son of David and Deborah Harington of Worcesterhire, and Rose, middle daughter of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire.”
Kit then joked about the engagement during the TV interview, revealing he “blew [his] load early” when popping the question.
He told Jonathan Ross: “I did have some plans to do it, I was going to string up some lights in some trees and do all the romantic stuff but we were in the country and we were under this beautiful night sky and had a log fire burning and red wine and I blew my load early.”
Realising what he’d said, he laughed: “Sorry that’s a really bad expression”.
“I was meant to do it the day after with the lights. What I meant to say was, I popped my question a bit early. Not blew my load.”
Kit and Rose have not set a date for their wedding yet but they do know that HBO are planning schedule filming so everyone involved in Game Of Thrones can attend.
Considering both Kit and Rose come from nobility, with Rose growing up in a 15th-century Scottish castle, there will probably be a free bar – though they’ve both ruled out a Game Of Thrones theme.
