DANCING Rev Richard Coles took a poignant break from Strictly to renew a pal’s wedding vows on her deathbed.
The priest visited former neighbour Mandy Bryant, 52, so she and firefighter hubby Mick could underscore their love in her last days.
He supported the family after Mick, 52, had a stroke in 2005.
The couple’s son, Nathan, 21, said: “Mum was admitted into a hospice with days left and I asked Richard to renew their vows quickly. He was only too obliging.
“There was a lovely moment when Richard gave us a demonstration of his dance moves. He joked that he had two left feet and needed more practice.”
Rev Coles, 55, visited Mandy on September 24 in Boston, Lincs, where he was a curate. She died of cancer last week.
Nathan said: “Richard’s schedule is full with ministry duties and Strictly.
“We’re so grateful for his support and compassion.”
