A PHOTOGRAPHER who backpacked around the world has snapped a series of stunning photos showing what beauty looks like across the globe.
Romanian photographer Mihaela Noroc’s took her mesmerising pictures while travelling as a way of showing how beauty is all around us.
At first she started a blog called Atlas of Beauty and would upload her striking images which range from women in rural India to teenagers in European cities.
But after gaining more than a million online followers, the snaps have now been published in a new book, featuring the stories and pictures of over 500 women.
Mihaela started the project in 2013 and spent all of her savings travelling to more than 37 countries.
Her portraits range from ones of women deep in the Amzaon rainforest to the markets of India and even the streets of Harlem in New York City.
Writing on her website, she said: “I love the variety of earth, the diversity of people and I try to go beyond their surface, to discover their sincere and authentic side, to photograph it.
“In my opinion, beauty means to keep alive your origins and your culture. To be natural, sincere, authentic, particular, not necessary fashion or skinny.”
