A MARTIAL arts expert who built a career on the back of being bullied at five was reunited with his bully live on This Morning and viewers hailed it inspiring.
Multi-millionaire Matt Fiddes was reunited on the This Morning sofa with his former bully who tormented him for two years from age five and was full of praise for the man for having the courage to own up to what he had done.
Crediting his former bully with inspiring him to get into martial arts and then going on to build a multi-million pound fortune.
Matt said: “He triggered it, I come from a very well-educated family.
“My mum’s one of 14, all university graduates and I’m kinda the black sheep.
“[The bullying] started a fire inside me.”
Matt, who met Michael Jackson when he was 18 went on to become the King of Pop’s personal bodyguard for a decade and having built up his international martial arts schools, used his wealth to hit back at bullying.
He developed a programme that he claims has saved a million children from bullying.
After a career’s adviser told Matt he was stupid for wanting to make a career out of martial arts, he returned to the school aged 21 with his brand new Ferrari to rub her face in it.
“To be fair to her, she was proud of me,” he said.
But when his former bully arrived on the show, they pair admitted they felt very awkward.
“He’s a real man for doing this,” Matt said as his former bully Anthony walked out and the pair shook hands.
“Yeah yeah, it was all five year old stuff, pushing him in the queue for the milk,” Anthony said before adding: “I was overwhelmed about what Matt had said about me, to be honest.”
One viewer said: “@ThisMorning what a fantastic way to beat a bully – don’t get mad OR even just live an amazingly successful life. Fair play to a brave guy!”
