PRINCE Harry kisses Meghan Markle in public for the first time — sparking a frenzy of engagement speculation. The display came after he flew her mum Doria to join them at Toronto’s Invictus Games.
Royal experts said Harry’s decision to invite Meghan’s mum to join them at the closing ceremony of his Invictus Games was “hugely significant.”
They said that flying yoga instructor Doria Ragland 2,500 miles from LA to Toronto to be seen alongside them in the VIP box suggests an engagement announcement is imminent.
And speculation reached fever pitch when Harry also kissed Meghan in public for the first time as they watched performances by Bryan Adams and Bruce Springsteen at the ceremony.
A Royal source said: “Harry inviting Meghan’s mum is a sure sign things are very serious between the pair and he’s ready to take things to the next level.
“Harry was very relaxed and the body language between him and Meghan was really astonishing.
“Although they were in a box, they were still at a public event that was being hosted by Harry. The fact he invited her mum is hugely significant.
“Now they’ve gone public with a kiss, the Royals will expect Harry to take the next step.
“Maybe even an engagement announcement by the end of the year.”
Bookies slashed the odds on a Royal wedding next year to 6/4.
Ladbrokes said: “Royal watchers can’t wait for Harry to pop the question — if he hasn’t already in secret — and we’ve had to cut the odds of a 2018 wedding.”
Meghan, 36, watched the first half of the show from the box with her yoga instructor mum Doria Radlan and friends Jessica Mulroney and Markus Anderson — while Harry, 33, sat at the other end of the arena with dignitaries.
Harry, 33, sat beside the wife of Canada’s prime minister in the stands, but was seen joining his girlfriend and her mum for the second half of the ceremony.
But Harry, who set up the games for injured servicemen and women in 2014, could not bear to be apart from Meghan and joined her in the box for the final 20 minutes of the show.
Suits actress Meghan clung to Harry’s arm and he planted a kiss on her cheek as they watched Bryan Adams sing love songs. He gave his girlfriend a final peck on the cheek before leaving her to give a speech to mark the games’ end.
Harry left the box after spending about 20 minutes with the actress watching singer Bryan Adams. as he sang hit love song Summer of 69.
On Monday she made her first public appearance alongside Harry, 33, at the wheelchair tennis during the Invictus Games.
About 550 competitors from 17 countries competed in 12 sports over the past week.
Meghan was at the opening ceremony a week ago but sat a few seats apart from Harry, 33.
On Monday they attended a wheelchair tennis match together and seemed unconcerned about the excitement their appearance caused.
Rapid Royal romances
HARRY and Meghan’s first public kiss could spell an engagement within months judging by past rapid Royal romances.
Diana announced she was to marry Charles four months after she was snapped at Balmoral with him in September 1980.
Prince Andrew asked to marry childhood friend Fergie only eight months after the pair were first seen dating in June 1985.
But not all royal romances are so swift. Harry’s brother William took four years — including one break-up — to pop the question.
They were snapped kissing in public for the first time in January 2006. He finally proposed in November 2010.
