MEGAN McKenna has ventured out for the first time since her split from Pete Wicks – and she’s still carrying the £2,500 designer handbag he bought her.
The Towie star-turned chart-topping singer, 25, was spotted in London clutching the pricey Celine purse Pete gifted her two weeks ago for her birthday.
Megan was pictured on a street in west London wearing jeans, a black top, and a large Burberry scarf, just a day after The Sun revealed her romance with Pete is over.
The TV beauty uploaded the shot to Instagram and wrote: “Quick trip into Kensington… #meetingvibing ?.”
She was noticeably holding the high-end bucket bag that Pete gifted her last month.
Megan previously debuted the pricey present during a birthday tea at the Ritz Hotel in the capital with her then-boyfriend.
At the time she posted about the new addition to her wardrobe and thanked Pete for being so generous.
She wrote: “Birthday celebrations continues… at one of my favourite places.”Afternoon tea at @theritzlondon…
“Oh yeah and my new baby ?? Thankyou @p_wicks01.”
The pair have finally decided to call it quits after a string of arguments following Pete’s sexting scandal – when The Sun Online revealed Pete had been messaging his ex Jacqui Ryland behind Megan’s back.
Although they briefly rekindled just three months after their explosive split, the pair have not been able to get past the betrayal and have once again decided to go their separate ways.
A TV source said: “Megan and Pete have given their relationship everything – but it still hasn’t been enough.
“After an amazing start they have been arguing a lot again and neither of them can handle the stress and pressure of constant rows.
“They are constantly falling out – there’s no guarantee that they won’t rekindle again.”
Their split comes just weeks after The Sun Online revealed that Pete had sex with Jemma Lucy, despite denying he even knew her.
Meanwhile it’s not all doom and gloom for Megan who is now focusing on her music career.
She stunned fans when she beat her idol Taylor Swift to the top of the charts, when her debut track High Heeled Shoes was number one in the itunes charts, and her follow up single Far Cry From Love was number two.
Speaking about her career, Megan exclusively told The Sun Online: “What people don’t know is that I’ve been making music myself for years as a hobby. I’ve been working with a lot of different producers and recording things.
“I’ve never really had a chance to talk about it before. Because I’m a reality star people don’t think I’m so passionate about it and don’t take me seriously but this is all I’ve ever wanted to do.”
