MEGAN McKenna couldn’t wipe the smile from her face as she performed her in front of an adoring crowd on Thursday night.
The reality-star-turned-country-singer, 25, sang her latest single and some of her favourite country hits at the open-air concert and looked more than pleased with the rapturous applause she received after.
Standing in the audience was her boyfriend Pete Wicks, who stared adoringly at his other half as she took to the stage.
The performance came after she landed number one on the iTunes singles chart, and won best newcomer as the Boisdale Music Awards earlier this month.
Her single, High Heeled Shoes, proved to silence the doubters who didn’t think she could make it.
Now the star is well on her way to starting a fully fledged music career, as she told The Sun Online: “I would love to record more music and tour.
“That’s the next aim for my career right now. Obviously I’ve done TV stuff but this is what I want to do.”
The Towie star‘s track outsold Taylor Swift, Pink and Dua Lipa following its release on iTunes, leaving her dumbfounded as she went head-to-head with her idols.
Adding to the Essex favourite’s joy was another album track, Far Cry From Love, taking the number two spot on the chart.
Megan, who made it to the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent in 2009 before finding fame on reality TV, has been keeping track of her efforts to become a singer on her own reality show There’s Something About Megan.
She travelled to Nashville for an extended period over the summer to work with country music singers and song-writers and perform a showcase for record label bosses.
Speaking about her career, Megan exclusively told The Sun Online: “What people don’t know is that I’ve been making music myself for years as a hobby. I’ve been working with a lot of different producers and recording things.
“I’ve never really had a chance to talk about it before. Because I’m a reality star people don’t think I’m so passionate about it and don’t take me seriously but this is all I’ve ever wanted to do.”
She’s also teased that she was going to pen songs about her former lovers on her album – and her tricky on/off relationship with current beau, Pete.
She told Dan Wootton during a Facebook Live: “Song writing is very personal and I think throughout my life I’ve had so many things happen to me.
“I have so many stories to tell including ex boyfriends and ex friendships.”
