A FATHER made the heartbreaking discovery he had been grieving for his daughter on the flawed grave for greater than 30 years due to a mistake with the gravestone.

Manchester man George Salt’s younger daughter died lower than two days after being born in July 1988. She was buried at Southern Cemetery in Manchester.

However an error greater than 30 years in the past, unknown to Salt, meant he had been grieving the lack of his daughter on the flawed grave.

The gravestone had been moved to an empty spot in 1988, however the mistake was solely realised this 12 months.

The error was solely found by Salt after seeing that the misplaced headstone, which additionally had 17 different names on it, had been taken from its place.
