Life Is Strange Before the Storm players will be able to say a last goodbye to Arcadia Bay in the soon-to-be-released Farewell bonus episode.
The Life Is Strange bonus episode is arriving on PS4, Xbox One and PCs tomorrow for those who ordered the deluxe edition of Before The Storm.
Farewell marks the return of voice actors Ashly Burch and Hannah Telle, who voiced Chloe and Max in the much-loved first season of Life Is Strange.
While the LiS prequel Before The Storm focussed on Chloe Price, Burch didn’t voice her in the game’s three main episodes due to the SAG-AFTRA strike.
Rhianna DeVries stepped into the role and did a sterling job, but with that actors’ strike now resolved Burch is free to voice Chloe once again.
While the main episodes of BtS saw players take control of Chloe, Farewell will see them take control of the first season’s protagonist Max.
This week will also see the release of two new physical editions of Life Is Strange Before The Storm.
The Limited Edition contains a physical artbook featuring art from Life is Strange: Before the Storm plus the licensed soundtrack on CD.
A separate Vinyl Edition is also available exclusively from the Square Enix store.
This includes all content from the Limited Edition as well as an exclusive vinyl set of the licensed soundtrack.
Both editions will include the three main episodes of Life Is Strange Before The Storm as well as the Farewell bonus episode.
Both editions also include access to the following digital content:
• Mixtape Mode – Design your own playlist from the Life is Strange licensed soundtrack and listen to it alongside a cinematic scene from the game
• Outfit pack – Change up Chloe’s look with three new complete outfits. • Includes Punk Doe, Hawt Dawg Man & Illuminati outfits
• Episode 1 from the first Life is Strange season
The Limited Edition is priced at $39.99/€39.99/£34.99 and the Vinyl Edition is available for $69.99/€69.99/£59.99 exclusively from the Square Enix store.
If you pre-order either of the editions you will also get cute figurines of Before The Storm’s two main characters – Chloe and Rachel Amber.
These two physical editions will be available in the US on March 6 and in Europe on March 9.
Express.co.uk reviewed each of Life Is Strange Before The Storm, and we were totally enamoured by it.
In our review of the game’s final main episode, we said: “With its own quirks and idiosyncrasies, Before the Storm is one of the best video game interpretations of all the emotions – good and bad – that can be found in life.
“From the quiet, understated moments shared with someone special, to the heartbreaking times that leave a lump in your throat.
“It’s all there in Before the Storm, which does a stunning job of capturing the whole gamut of emotions we run through during this mortal coil.
“Life Is Strange Before the Storm is an unmissable reminder of what it is to be human.
“And that, for a video game that so often strives to tug at our heart strings, is probably the highest praise that one can give it.”
