LIAR took a dark new twist tonight as Laura turned the tables on rapist Andrew.
The teacher got her own back on the man she accused of raping her by plotting his downfall that ended in a kidnapping.
Last week’s episode ended with Laura asking her police man ex Tom to get a bottle of dte rape drug GHB for her.
Tonight’s show continued with her telling him her plan to sneak into the hospital and plant it in Andrew’s locker at work.
While plotting in his car, Laura opened the glove box and found an umbrella belonging to her sister.
Tom squirmed as he tried to cover his tracks over his affair with Katie, telling a series of lies in a bid to keep Laura away from the truth.
She later gave the brolly back to her sister and Katie got caught in a lie as she attempted to come up with a reason why it would have been in tom’s car.
Laura realises something is not right, and pushes her sister for answers, saying: “What have you done Katie?”
Katie breaks down as she confesses to the affair with Tom, saying; “It doesn’t matter, it’s over.”
Laura can’t contain her rage, and flies at her sister, screaming: “You were the one person I trusted.”
The teacher then walks out in front of Katie’s startled husband, promoting her to finally tell him what has been going on.
There was an emotional scene for DI Vanessa Harmon as she finally realised she had been raped.
The pregnant police officer had no idea Andrew had drugged her and sneaked into her flat to attack her while she was asleep.
She feared she was having miscarriage, but when a doctor told her the baby was fine and she found abrasions she suspected she could have been raped.
Vanessa asked to be tested for GHB, but the results came back negative.
She later confessed what had happened to her colleague.
Andrew was later seen visiting the home of a woman who appeared to be his mother and stashing evidence in her garden shed.
He was seen watching videos on a camera
Laura appeared to have a breakdown in her bathroom, smashing her mirror and cutting her hand with a piece of glass.
But she snapped out of it and then stormed into a pub to confront Andrew.
After rowing with him, she asks him to drive her home before slashing his neck and dosing him weith GHB.
She pulls him into his car and kidnaps him, tying him up in a shed down at the docks and threatening him with a knife.
Laura tells him about her elaborate scheme to frame him for attacking her, explaining that she made sure there were plenty of witnesses to them leaving the pub together.
She went on to say that police will find rope burns on her wrists, a scratch on his neck and a bottle of GHB in his car’s glove box.
But her plans goes horribly wrong when he escapes from his restraints and attacks her.
The deranged doctor comes close to strangling her before Vanessa Harmon turns up in her car to rescue Laura.
She had a tracker fitted to Andrew’s car so she followed him to the remote location.
But even though she managed to save Laura, she told her there would be no way to prosecute Andrew over the night’s events as the teacher would be the one in trouble.
Vanessa then tells Andrew she knows he raped her and vowed they would find enought evidence to bring him to justuce,
Andrew walks off smiling, and says: “No you won’t.”
