LIAR actress Joanne Froggatt wowed as she attended a fundraiser last night – looking worlds away from her onscreen character Laura.
Showing off her amazing figure, the 37-year-old oozed glamour is a silver mini-dress that shimmered as she strutted her stuff.
Her blonde hair was styled in loose curls, while her make-up accentuated her natural beauty as she hit the red carpet at BFI Luminous Fundraising Gala at The Guildhall.
Her stylish appearance is in stark contrast to how viewers have seen her over the last couple weeks in the popular ITV drama.
The series tells the story of a teacher, Laura, who is swept up into a romance with a surgeon, Andrew, whose son studies at her school.
They go on a date and that single night “changes their lives forever” as she is raped by Andrew and he denies it.
It later emerges that Andrew is in fact a serial rapist after he was seen breaking into DI Vanessa Harmon’s home and drugging the pregnant policewoman before he began to undress her.
The chilling scenes took place while his rape accuser Laura flew to Edinburgh to confront the mother of his dead ex-wife Mary about the suspicious surgeon.
While Mary’s mother had been adamant that her daughter’s death was not Andrew’s fault, Laura soon found out key information from Mary’s best friend.
Catherine revealed that she believed she was also a victim of rape by Andrew.
Horrified Catherine told Laura: “Before Mary killed herself I slept with Andrew. All these years I thought it was my fault.”
Laura is now on a one-woman mission to get Andrew sent down for his crimes.
The actress put the dramatic story line behind her as she hit the charity bash last night alongside Downton Abbey director Julian Fellowes.
