THE future of the Sex and the City franchise continues to be just as dramatic off-screen as any of the films or TV episodes.
After Sarah Jessica Parker suggested that Kim had pulled out of Sex and the City 3 at the last minute, Kim has now hinted that her character Samantha Jones should be killed off so that the movie can go ahead.
Perez Hilton shared a story about the ongoing drama around a third film and commented: “RT if you think #SexAndTheCity should make a third movie and just kill @KimCattrall’s character!”
While the idea would horrify many die-hard Sex and the City fans, it would seem that 147 people agreed with Perez, including Kim herself.
Kim has also been directly responding to fans who have vented frustration via social media.

One user tweted: “@KimCattrall So I’ve seen you doing interviews on ageism yet I see you on Instagram saying you too old to play Samantha? I’m so confused!”
To which Kim advised him: “Josh, I’ve played ‘SAM’ for 20 years. Am moving on & so should you. Try #SensitiveSkin my show on @Netflix.”
Kim made the shocking statement during filming for Piers Morgan’s Life Stories.
According to the MailOnline Kim said she no idea when she last spoke to her co-stars and no one has contacted her about the reports she held up filming.
She said: “And that’s another thing that’s really disappointing is that nobody ever picks up the phone and tries to contact you and say, ‘how you doing?’ That would have been the way to handle it.
“And usually what happens in a healthy relationship is that someone, or a transaction for a job in my business, is that someone says, ‘are you available?’ and you say ‘yes’ and here’s the job and you say ‘yes but thank you very much but I’m sort of over here right now but thank you very much’ and that person turns to you and they say ‘that’s great, good luck to you, I wish you the best.’ “
Making her feelings very clear, she added: “That’s not what happened here, this is, it feels like a toxic relationship.”
The actress went on to say that she thought Sarah Jessica Parker should have stuck up for her rather than failing to mention the demand speculation.
She said: “And now, now at this very moment it’s quite extraordinary to get any kind of negative press about something that I’ve been saying for almost a year of ‘no’ that I’m demanding or a diva.
“And this is really where I take to task the people from ‘Sex And The City’ and specifically Sarah Jessica Parker in that I think she could have been nicer. I really think she could have been nicer.”
However despite the drama over the third instalment of the film, Kim says she doesn’t rule out a chance of reconciliation but once again reiterated that she never agreed to star in a third movie.
