Jaguar I-Pace 2018 will be officially launched tonight.
After years of anticipation Jaguar will finally pull the wraps off the brand new electric SUV.
It is the company’s first pure battery electric vehicle and will look to challenge cars such as the Tesla Model X from launch.
It was a concept first teased back in 2016 at the Paris Motor Show and since then the manufacturer has been working hard to bring the ambitious vehicle to life.
From specs teased by Jaguar on the company’s website, it will look to sit in-between the Model X 75D and Model X 100D variants.
It is powered by a 90kWh battery and supported by an all-wheel-drive system.
The car also produces 400PS and 700Nm of torque which allows it to charge from 0-60mph the around four seconds.
Range for the EV is expected to be around 310-miles on a single charge and the I-PACE will be capable of rapid charging from zero to 80 per cent in 85 minutes and has been tested across extremes of terrain and temperatures from -40°C to 40°C.
Full pricing and specifications will be announced and order books opened for full configurations immediately following the reveal.
Over 1.5 million test miles and a further 11,000 hours of rig simulations have been completed by more than 200 production prototypes.
You can watch the car’s unveiling here live or visit the company’s website, YouTube channel or Facebook page to catch all the action.
The official public debut of I-PACE will be at the Geneva Motor Show on 6 March.
