How can you apply for Gogglebox?

If you think you’ve got what it takes to be a Gogglebox star, you need to woo the production company Studio Lambert.

While it is unclear if they are seeking newbies at the moment, every series seems to introduce us to a new bunch of eager TV watchers.

Be advised, Studio Lambert looks for viewers with “strong and entertaining” opinions about TV and many of the current Gogglebox families were “street casted” after being found in locations such as bridge clubs (June and Leon) and hairdressers (Stephen and Chris).

 In exchange for the £1,500 fee (and free food) each of the families are expected to commit to 12 hours of filming a week

A Gogglebox insider told The Sun Online that each of the families taking part are handed a monthly family allowance of £1,500.

The amount is then split amongst contributing family members at their own discretion.

The monthly wage comes with its own added perks and each of the families receives free takeaways to keep them going through each sitting.

How many hours of TV do the Gogglebox families watch?
