Game of Thrones fans are hoping to see the end of Cersei (played by Lena Headey) in the upcoming final season of the hit HBO show.
Although details are being kept under tight wraps about what will happen, viewers have taken to creating their own theories.
The latest comes in the form of a new poster which has been mocked up to look like a real one.
The new image, as posted on Game of Thrones Memes’ Facebook page shows Cersei on her knees in what appears to be her living quarters.
She is facing a determined Arya (Maisie Williams), who looks down on her with a steely glare.
What’s more, the warrior is grasping a knife in the picture which suggests she is about to slit Cersei’s throat.
Although the poster is clearly a fake – given the spelling mistake on it – it certainly makes for interesting contemplation.
Arya has been relatively successful with her killing mission after adding her enemies to a list and making her way through them.
Cersei has been relatively high up the list, topped only by The Hound (Rory McCann).
Over half of her enemies have met their gruesome ends so it seems the odds are stacked against Cersei.
Will Arya be the one to kill the Queen or will it be another of her enormous list of enemies?
This comes as Lena has teased a “large” finale as she continues to film the eighth instalment.
She told Press Association recently: “We’re filming till the end of June and it’s all very exciting and very large.”
Lena, 44, added the upcoming series would be “bigger and better than ever”.
As well as this, her body double, played by Rebecca Van Cleave, will be returning to the show, suggesting serious drama is on the way for the current Iron Throne owner.
Game of Thrones returns to Sky Atlantic next year.
