TYRESE Gibson has sparked ANOTHER Fast and Furious feud by claiming Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson “broke up the Fast Family” by agreeing to star in a solo spin-off.
In typical style, the star of the movie franchise didn’t hold back as he made his views VERY clear on “dewayne” and his decision and raged on Instagram: “YOU didn’t have to agree with a solo.”
He later took another swipe at The Rock on his page, suggesting the star’s “ego” and “greed” had delayed the next instalment from 2019 to 2020.
Tyrese’s rant comes against the backdrop of a number of high-profile spats on-set, including a rift between The Rock and Vin Diesel sparked by after the former wrestler took to Facebook and shared his thoughts about the other actors he had been working with.
The star has played Roman Pearce for the last five films and chose to upload a group shot of the cast in their heyday to make his no-frills suggestions.
Alongside the throwback Tyrese quipped the Fast Family was “United Nations, one race” and added: “Until Dewayne showed up I guess this whole time he had a problem cause he wasn’t the ONLY ONE on the movie poster.”
#PSA Congratulations to @TheRock and your brother in law aka 7 bucks producing partner @hhgarcia41 for making the fast and the furious franchise about YOU – And like you, DJ even if they call I will not be deleting this post – Gn folks see you in 2020 April #FastFamily right? After wishing his arch-rival a sarcastic congratulations, he continued: “You guys are just amazing you really broke up the #FastFamily I tried to warn you guys…
“You thought I was hating…… I was simply fighting to keep the family together what makes us great is when you see us all TOGETHER we don’t fly solo…..”
Referring to their ongoing spat he added: “I got 3 years of venting on this clown – They offered but YOU didn’t have to agree with a solo #HobbsMovie #OriginalFastFamily we salute you and stand on your shoulders #VinDiesel #PaulWalker #RobCohen#RomanTej were offered a spin-off we TURNED IT DOWN!!!”
Tyrese then promised his followers it would be his “last post” on the matter – but that remains to be seen.
Recently, we reported how The Rock supposedly held a secret meeting with his Fast & Furious co-star Vin Diesel in a bid to end their separate feud.
The action hero took aim at his “male co-stars” in a withering message posted on Instagram, and the pair have now reportedly held talks in a bid to put the bad blood behind them.
Dwayne hit headlines after he took to Facebook and shared his thoughts about the other actors he has been working with on the action-packed film franchise.
He was full of praise for the women onset, but aimed a nasty rant at his male co-stars, branding them “candy asses”.
The former wrestling icon did not give any names, but TMZ.com reports the target of his wrath was co-star Vin Diesel.
The pair reportedly clashed several times during filming of the eighth movie after falling out over decisions made by Vin in his extra role as producer.
The website revealed the pair met for crisis talks on the set of the film in Atlanta yesterday in a bid to bury the hatchet.
The TMZ.com report suggests the feud sparked by his online rant meant tensions were running high onset.
It is not yet known if the talks were successful and if they pair managed to put the feud behind them.
Dwayne shared his message on Facebook alongside a video of a fight scene from the franchise.
He wrote: “This is my final week of shooting Fast & Furious 8. There’s no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one…
“My female co-stars are always amazing and I love ’em. My male co-stars however are a different story.
“Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t.
“The ones that don’t are too chicken s**t to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses.”
