FAA’s Security Guidelines for Business Drones Are Overly Strict, Report Says

The industrial drone trade is being stifled by unnecessarily stringent federal security guidelines enforced by regulators who incessantly pay solely lip service to easing restrictions or streamlining decision-making, based on a report by the Nationwide Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Drugs.

The unusually strongly worded report launched Monday urges “top-to-bottom” modifications in how the Federal Aviation Administration assesses and manages dangers from drones.
