And now Gillian has hinted that Emma might jump when quizzed about her exit on today’s This Morning, saying: “Will I perish?”

Discussing her final scenes, former Brookside star Gillian admitted they were hard due to her fear of heights.

“It was scary and I am very afraid of heights. I wore a harness and I was ok,” she said.

“The viaduct was very high. Even if just dangling you don’t want to.”

Last night viewers watched in horror as she stood on the edge of the viaduct after realising she was responsible for her son Finn’s death.

Finn’s death came as part of an explosive episode that saw Moira Barton discharge herself from hospital after learning that Emma had stolen her newborn baby.

Still on the run, Emma later abandoned the infant in the church before hearing the news that her son had died on the radio.

A clip from tonight’s show, sees Finn chatting to his mum as she prepares to jump – suggesting he might not have died after all.

Speaking about her character on This Morning, Gillian said: “I just try to think of her as a normal women, she is a bit self-destructive.

“I just try and play the truth, I feel sorry for her, she never gets away with anything.”

And she revealed that she and her on screen son Finn, played by Joe Gill, had enjoyed a joint leaving party.

“We finished shooting two three weeks ago and we had a party,” she said.

“Joe and I left at the same time, so it was really nice.”
