THINGS are about to get frisky in the ‘Dales as Charity Dingle enjoys a saucy booze-fuelled snog with Vanessa Woodfield.
This summer, The Sun hinted a fresh lesbian romance could be on the cards for Charity (Emma Atkins) almost a decade after her affair with Zoe Tate on the ITV soap.
In the lead-up to their moment of romance, Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick) dressed in a yellow cape and matching eye-piece necks back the booze before she is irritated by a feisty Charity intent on provoking a response.
As the barmaid heads downstairs to change the barrel, Vanessa exclaims: “Right, I’ve had enough of that,” and charges after her.
Yet unbeknown to her, the cellar door is faulty and after flinging it shut, the pair are locked in.
Clearly not adequately tipsy, Vanessa grabs a bottle of Whisky from the shelves and tucks in.
Well, when you’re stranded in a cellar, it would clearly be rude not to, right?
Charity is left furious by the situation and plumps to “drink herself into oblivion” to survive the lock-in.
She is no stranger to a same-sex snog and things progress quickly as she snuggles on the sofa alongside her mate.

After plonking herself on her knee, she can be seen reaching in to grab Vanessa’s face for a cheeky peck.
Yet the drama doesn’t end there as, after finally escaping the pub the next day, they reignite their passion with “more than a kiss.”
Talking of the racy upcoming scenes, fans’ favourite Emma revealed: “There is a moment that Charity kind of jumps on and seizes.
“She is a complete opportunist, there is just a moment where she sees a flicker of this could be interesting she goes to, she is quite wound up by the things Vanessa says.
“She touches some raw nerves.”
Talking of the motives behind Charity’s racy streak she said: “she just thinks she can. She has not really got anyone at the moment, she is free to toy with whoever, she is that way inclined.
“She is just shameless in those ways.
“She probably does fancy Vanessa and wants to explore – she knows Vanessa is unsure of her own sexuality and is enjoying the flirtatiousness and vulnerability on Vanessa’s part.
“It’s a bit like cat and mouse.”
