Last month viewers watched as Linda (Kellie Bright) confided in Jack Branning, who was by her side when she went to hospital and got the all clear.

But while Linda decided to keep her family and husband in the dark, Jack persuades her the time is right to tell them.

Linda is unsure as she doesn’t want to cause any more issues between them but she’s clearly unwell and Mick picks up on this.

With little choice and unable to hide her pain, Linda finally confesses what she has been going through and Mick is stunned.

And when she admits she feels like she did before she got diagnosed initially, Mick decides she must get to the hospital. But has the cancer returned?

Mick’s concern soon turns to anger though when he discovers that Woody knew about Linda’s cancer the whole time.

Upset that his wife couldn’t talk to him, the couple once again become embroiled in a huge row.

In a rage he goes to visit Jack – unaware that he too knew about Linda’s cancer battle.

Will Mick and Linda be able to come back from this or will it be the nail in the coffin?

Last month viewers watched as Linda opened up to Jack about her secret diagnosis.

Revealing why she had been away for so long, she said: “You must think I’m mad to walk away from someone I love when you’d give anything to be with…”

“I wasn’t caring for my mum. I mean I was at first but she got better,” she added.

“I couldn’t come back, I’ve had cancer.”

EastEnders airs these scenes on Tuesday, October 10, Thursday October 12 and Friday, October 13 on BBC One.
