Donatella Versace before and after: Young Donatella’s style compared to now | Style | Life & Style

Donatella Versace, 62, is the chief designer and vice president of Versace Group.

The Italian brand was started by her late brother Gianni, who was shot dead outside his home in Miami aged just 50.

After his death, the brand was taken over by his little sister Donatella, who expanded the empire into the multimillion pound business it is today.

But Donatella is as famed for her bold look as she is for her sexy catwalk designs – how has she changed over the years?

One thing that has stayed consistent for Donatella is her mane of long, white blonde hair.

Although she sometimes changes the tone of the blonde, and does wear it both dead straight and in waves, it is her signature look and stays much the same.

The mum-of-two couples this with very heavy black eye makeup for a strong, sexy look.

Clearly keen to preserve her iconic hair and makeup, Donatella has a thorough beauty regime.

Speaking about how she looks after herself, she said: “I use tonnes of cream and take care of my hair and skin.”

She has also admitted to using Botox in the past, although “only on my face”, but has never spoken about any other procedures she may have had done.

Some fashion designers may be famed for wearing all black, but Donatella isn’t one of them.

She is not afraid to step out in her most daring pieces, and is a living embodiment of the brand.

Versace is famed for its revealing, sultry clothing, and Donatella has made sure to stay in shape so that she can continue to wear Versace clothing.

But she isn’t keen on the gym, admitting in an interview with the Huffington Post she “stopped working with a personal trainer as he wouldn’t let me smoke”.

The tragic story of Gianni Versace’s death is the subject of a new TV show staring Penelope Cruz as Donatella.

Airing tonight, the show did not get the approval of the Versace family, who condemned it as a “work of fiction”.
