CORONATION Street star Catherine Tyldesley looked sensational as she stepped out to a charity boxing event in Manchester tonight.
Catherine enjoyed a night off from filming duties as the much-loved soap gears up for a dramatic Christmas season
The actress looked a vision of elegance as she donned a floor-length black gown.
She completed the look with a dazzling necklace and kept her hair tied back in a ponytail.
Catherine, 34, recently appeared on Lorraine and was quizzed by the host about what is happening on the soap.
She dropped a huge hint about the new characters heading to the soap and teased there will be some huge changes in Weatherfield.
Catherine revealed the show is getting a boost from some new characters who are about to be introduced.
The soap is also going to be increased to six episodes a week, and Cath admits having a bigger cast full of new faces has helped share the work load.
She said: “The work load hasn’t really changed, but with the new characters are coming in it’s really exciting.”
The soap is also featuring a devastating brain tumour storyline for Corrie veteran Rita, played by Barbara Knox, 84.
And Cath warned fans to get have tissues at the ready for some upcoming scenes.
She added: “She was singing last night, it was heartbreaking and broke my heart. Rita is like your nanna.
“She has some beautiful stuff coming up. They’ve put it together so well.”
She teased: “Fountains and great heights and all kind of things are involved.”
She also said she loved working on the wedding scene with Aidan, played by Shane Ward, which aired last night.
Cath said: “I loved filming it! As soon as I got the script, I turned the pages and was like ‘Oh no, oh no’.
“I loved every second of it…
“‘I can’t thank the Corrie team enough. The producers and writers are phenomenal. They are such a gift.”
