A BRITISH AIRWAYS passenger has hit out on the airline after they supplied him with only a Nutri-grain bar for breakfast on his long-haul flight.

Daniel Hayter from Ledbury had paid $2,200 (£1,600) for his return flights from New York to London when he was supplied the breakfast snack.

He tweeted an image of the bar with the caption: “Disgraceful @British_Airways – for the worth I pay for my ticket and that is breakfast.

“Your penny-pinching CEO must be fired.

“This was the breakfast catering you supplied on a $2,200 return flight from NY to London. It’s a shame.”

BA was fast to apologise and stated that they’d notice his feedback, as many earlier passenger feedback had been used to alter the snack bar providing beforehand.

However Daniel was unimpressed, telling the airline: “There was nothing mistaken with the service I’ve been used to for over 30 years. It has gone downhill quickly.

“Why not simply return to what you used to serve?!”

A British Airways spokesperson have since revealed to Solar On-line Journey that Daniel was given a three-course meal earlier within the flight.

They stated: “We provide a lighter second meal throughout our night time flights as so a lot of our prospects inform us they would like to have the additional time to sleep.

“We hope Mr Hayter loved his three course scorching meal served on wonderful china and linen served earlier within the six hour flight.”

In January, BA stated that it was reintroducing the second meal choice on a number of long-haul flights following a backlash at its removing final yr.

The modifications have been  a part of a multi-million revamp promised by BA boss Alex Cruz earlier than Christmas.
