BRAD Pitt cut an impressive figure in his astronaut outfit on the set of his new movie yesterday – but his bodyguard ended up stealing the spotlight.
The actor, 53, was dwarfed by the bouncer who towered over him as he made his way through the set.
Brad is filming the science thriller flick alongside Tommy Lee Jones, Donald Sutherland and Ruth Negga.
The story follows Brad’s character Roy McBride as he travels through the solar system to find his dad, who years before, left on a mission to Neptune to find extra-terrestrial intelligence.
It’s not clear how much taller Brad’s bodyguard is than the star who stands at 5ft 10ins.
And of course, the snap could be something of an optical illusion.
But the clean-shaven star certainly looked slender in the wake of his split from Angelina Jolie last year – with a source telling Entertainment Tonight he is “focused and low key.”
They added: “Physically, he looks fantastic. Brad is very friendly and genuine with everyone on set.”
But the actor keeps himself to himself when he’s not shooting.
The source added: “When he’s not on set filming, he hangs out in his trailer. He’s never late and he always arrives to set ready to work.”
However, the site adds that none of his six children – Maddox, 16, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 11, and nine-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, have visited him on set.
Last year’s split from Angelina came after a flight from France to Los Angeles last year, with Brad allegedly having a verbal fight with their eldest son Maddox, forcing them to land at a different airport.
Meanwhile, Angelina has said she doesn’t like being without a partner.
She told the Telegraph newspaper: “I don’t enjoy being single. It’s not something I wanted.
“There’s nothing nice about it. It’s just hard.
“Sometimes maybe it appears I am pulling it all together, but really I am just trying to get through my days.
“Emotionally it’s been a very difficult year.”
