The sensational track-only hypercar boasts some exceptional specs.
As the track-only Valkyrie AMR Pro is unshackled from the constraints of road legality, its design team have been able to create a machine to rival a Formula One Car.
The Valkyrie AMR Pro has a power output of over 1100bhp, that is faster than a F1 car, it only weighs 1000kg and it is capable of reaching a top speed of 225mph.
Adrian Newey, Chief Technical Officer of Aston Martin Red Bull Racing, who has been influential in the developing of this hypercar is impressed by his creation.
He said: “The Aston Martin Valkyrie road car draws extensively from the knowledge I have gained during my career in Formula One, but the AMR Pro version has allowed me to work beyond the constraints of road legality, or indeed practicality!”
“I will leave it to the public to ponder the lap time predictions. Suffice to say they’re quite impressive.”
The hypercar is home to to a 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine and Energy Recovery System control software, which allows the Valkyrie AMR Pro to be able to generate more than its own weight in downforce at over 1000kg.
Although top-speed is not the overall goal the Valkyrie AMR PRO, it is capable of reaching 225mph. This astonishing raw speed means the car achieves lateral acceleration in excess of 3G.
Christian Horner, Team Principal of Aston Martin Red Bull Racing said: “It is hugely rewarding to see the Valkyrie AMR Pro unveiled here in Geneva, another evolutionary step in the relationship between Red Bull Racing and Aston Martin.
“We set out together with an ambitious and pioneering road map to create something extraordinary in partnership, and the Valkyrie AMR Pro is yet another turn of that wheel.”
The Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro, making its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show, will appear alongside the 2018 Aston Martin Red Bull Racing F1 car.
Unfortunately for fans just 25 Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pros will be built and all the cars have been sold.
